Has anyone ever worked with the files RCP.EXE and REXEC.EXE?
They supposedly allow you to copy and run a program on a remote
computer (having to be an Administrator of the remote computer, of
course)?

I'm trying to create a tool to shut down a remote computer...

Any help would be appreciated! Very Happy

i'm not sure if this will help but i recently came across the site expertsXexchange and saw a number of posts dealing with remote starts and shutdowns

i did a search for you using REMOTE and SHUTDOWN and this is the result http://www.google.com/custom?q=remote%2Bshutdown&cof=LW%3A220%3BL%3Ahttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.experts-exchange.com%2Fv3.0%2Fimages%2Fee-LogoWhite.gif%3BLH%3A50%3BBGC%3A%23FFFFFF%3BAH%3Acenter%3BGL%3A0%3BS%3Ahttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.experts-exchange.com%3BAWFID%3A6334f99fa5274858%3B&domains=experts-exchange.com&sitesearch=experts-exchange.com

i know that they deal with delphi and vb but sometimes they have little bits of advice that can be used with vds

hope this helps

Serge
